The Ride Tour de Yorkshire event offered up the opportunity for eatplantsnotpigs members from across the land to meet up and ride in a beautiful and challenging part of the UK.
With the Sportive event taking place before the finish of the last stage of the four day Tour de Yorkshire, it made for a great atmosphere. It was a celebration of cycling that drew massive crowds from afar. The start and finish was central Leeds which made for a great base, especially because there’s so much awesome vegan on the menus in the city!
Leeds is only a 2 hours direct by train from London for the Southern members whilst being fairly central for Midlands and Northern based members. The Sportive was a challenging ride without being too extreme and there’s also shorter route options for those that prefer them. Here’s some pictures from a fab weekend which was blessed by sunshine and soaring temperatures!
We would like to make this an annual meet and hope you’ll join us for a great weekend in 2019!

Great photos and lovely weather too! Good to see your movement is growing. Cycling is a good metaphor for what you are aiming to achieve – lots of hard graft and big hills to climb! But with the right mind, you pedal on, cranking the gears (if you can do that) to make a change happen in the world!
